About the Workshop

Harvard Music Festival: Chamber Music Workshop   June 19-25, 2022

Week-long intensive IN-PERSON chamber music workshop for professionally-bound as well as experienced amateur musicians, led by co-directors/core coaches: Judith Eissenberg, violin; Rhonda Rider, cello; Judith Gordon, piano.  Pre-formed ensembles get daily coaching, open rehearsals, masterclasses, culminating in performance. Includes repertoire explorations, discussions, and interactive presentations featuring guest performers and scholars from diverse backgrounds.  Embedded in the Harvard, MA community, a guiding principle is to foster a deep appreciation – by both musicians and audience – of music-making and engaged collective listening.

Intention is to be in-person, with professionally-bound musicians full tuition scholarship and guest lodging in the community, some scholarship available for experienced amateurs.
