About the Workshop

The Old Avoca Schoolhouse in Avoca, Nebraska will be streaming an on line “Irish Workshop” for fiddlers, violists, cellists, basses, mandolin players, soprano recorder players, and alto recorder players. The Workshop will be on Friday, November 13, from 7 PM – 8 PM, US Central Time.

Each participant (US residents only) will receive a copy of our “Irish Fiddle Tunes for Two”, written for the instrument of their choice.

This collection features 32 reels, hornpipes, polkas, jigs, and waltzes, arranged for two instruments, with chord symbols for guitar accompaniment. There’s a source list included, just in case you haven’t had enough Irish tunes.

During the Workshop, we will read, play, and discuss various survival skills for these kinds of pieces.

Pre-registration required.  The fee for the “Irish Workshop” is $25.00.
